As the 'parady' blasted through the conductor's newly-bought speakers, I began to think of 2011. Not the 'O' levels la, look at my title...  -.-  Yes, that fantastic piece was played by some Japanese Sec 2 band for their Japanese contest, similar to our SYF, some grade 4+, I reckon?
Early this year, our seniors aced their way through SYF with Golden Jubilee (grade 3). Our japanese counterparts are PWNing some grade 4+ piece, while we are like struggling through Exultate and March 98.

Then the conductor was like taunting us about the dull 34 years of no-gold-awards before the 2nd milleniuem came, obviously, picking on our musicality handicap. Well, it can't be helped that some 14 year-old are owning us( and our seniors -_-)

being a sec 2-- and having one sec 1 under my wing who is like also pwning me( although i always catch up, hey he got 2 years experience leh...), I coundn't help but think whether we could maintain our standards of honour, or fall beneath the shadows of our past glory...   Well,  you got me thinking...
